About Me
I am an artistic free spirit, bhakti yogini, aspiring writer and mother of two young adult sons whom I adore. I love living surrounded by wilderness and am nourished by the the sun, fresh air, warm breezes and the earth under my bare feet. I grew up traveling between the valley of Mexico City surrounded by live volcanoes, and the Long Island Sound's beaches of Connecticut, where I was born. I spent my adolescence painting, writing poetry, body surfing and playing on the beautiful California beaches. At the age of fifteen I first adopted a vegetarian lifestyle (and, eventually, a vegan one) and began participating in animal rights activism with my younger sister. In my late adolescence I entered a bhakti yoga ashram and began my formal study of yoga texts, taking several pilgrimages to India, and dedicating myself to a steady practice in which the Goddess (Radha) is at the heart. Today, my life partner, Graham and I teach yoga philosophy together, and live in Southern Virginia. I am passionate about inspiring women to express themselves creatively, individually and collectively, and release their beautiful voices, and you will often find me involved in projects designed to do just that.
